Was I stood up or was it an accident?

A while ago my friend said he'd help me with soccer one on one. I had a crush on him and figured it be a great opportunity to try to get him interested and talk to him more. He's a senior and im a sophomore. So we were talking online and he said he'd meet me out on the track to help me. So the next day(the day he was suppose to help me) i reminded him not to forget. He said he wouldn't and that I should wait outside on the track for him because he had to do a few things but he'd meet me outside when he was done. I had a track meet that day and he was helping out with high jump too but anyway it started around 4 so i had plenty of time (school ends around 2:15). So i waited outside in the track. I kept waiting and waiting but he never showed up. The track meet had started and i was really upset about the whole thing. I saw him near the high jump and figured if he cared he'd say something to me. So i went near the high jump and was right next to him talking to my friend who was hanging out with him so he was pretty much next to me but didnt say a word about the soccer thing. So i just walked away and continued to compete. So what hapened did he do it on purpose? do you think he forgot? also note that he had my number and i had his so he coul have texted e or called and said he was running late or something.
