BADLY sunburnt. Skin cancer possibility?

Today I went to a swim invite for like 4 or 5 hours and there was a 2 hour rain delay (so it started at 10:45) then it got BLAZING hot….The meet ended around 2….When i got home, I noticed my chest was all red and there were strap lines from my swim suit. My shoulders and arms got burned along with my back. It got FRIED. This is my second time being out in the sun for so long. I have an invite tomorrow as well. Should I go, so I could possibly get burned more? I'm always worried that now I'll get skin cancer because of my burn that I have now. What are some signs of skin cancer and just because I get badly burned now, do I have a chance of getting skin cancer anytime soon? I don't get burnt very often and I'm pretty pale skinned. Please help. I'm very worried. Don't tell me I'm stupid for not putting on sunscreen cuz I know I am. Please help….10 points go to best answer! :)
