How do clown fish care for there brood?

A female clownfish will only remain with her brood when they are eggs, usually policing her mate to keep them clean and healthy. She will occaisionally mouth the eggs to keep them clean, but usually she'll leave it up to the male, and can be quite bossy. Once the eggs hatch, the larvae drift away in the current, completely on their own. So, the parents only keep defence when the babies are eggs, around a week, give or take. When they hatch, the fry are on their own.
